I get cold very easily and like soaking up the sun for hours. And due to that I have developed terrible tan lines on my arms and feet. I call it the panda-tan, cause half of my feet are darker than the other half, and my hands are darker than the arms. Blekh.
My skin gets very dry during this cold weather and now it's dry and tan. Not a good combination.
I believe that the products available in your kitchen are perfect in de tanning your skin. I've been using the following home remedies lately and I'm happy with the results. So I decided to share these tips with you guys, in case you too want to get rid of an uneven tan (who doesn't, right?)
*I've used these tips and they've worked well for my skin.
-Take 1 tbs of flour, add few drops of lemon juice. Then add milk (enough to make a paste). Apply it to your face and let it dry for 10-15 minutes. Rinse it off with luke warm water with light circular motion. It'll give an instant glow to your skin. Don't forget to moisturize if you've got dry skin.
-Yogurt works like magic in lightening the skin., take yogurt, add few drops of lemon juice, mix it and apply it to your arms and feet. Let it dry for 15-20 minutes then rinse it off. I try to do this twice a week before taking a shower and it works well in lighting the terrible tan. It makes your skin soft as well.
-Take lemon juice, add equal amount of rose water and a pinch of turmeric. Mix it together then apply it to the tanned area.
I've heard egg mask is very effective for removing the tan but I don't think I'll ever try it. I once mixed egg white with my hair oil and applied it to the roots of my hair. My hair felt so soft and shiny but smelled so bad for 2-3 days. So try at your own risk!
