I don't really like using masks, I prefer scrubs cause scrubbing does not involve sitting still for 10-15 minutes and not talking at all. Also I hate the feeling when the mask dries, I feel like my skin is about to come off, haha, yes I know I have some serious issues. I heard so much about these Freeman clay masks and decided to try them for myself.
The mask has a pretty thick, tooth paste kind of texture, but is easy to blend evenly. Due to its thick texture, you need quite a lot of amount if you're going to apply it to your face and the neck. Both the masks are pale green is color. A lot of people loves how these masks smells, but I'm not a fan of it. I mean I don't hate the smell but it just irritate me a little bit.
Avoid using too much, 'cause the more you apply to your face the more time it will take to dry.
Once it's dry, wash it off with luke warm water. It comes off easily and does not stick to my hairline like most of the masks. I hate when little particles stick to my hair and then I have to wash my hair to get them out.
This mask can be applied to the face and the neck but I just can't stand the idea of not moving my neck at all. Just the thought of it makes me claustrophobic. I only apply it to the face and love how quickly it dries. The mask takes maximum 10 minutes to dry.
It removes the dead skin cells and leaves my skin super soft and gives and instant brightening effect.
I've got dry and sensitive skin and I've noticed that the Lemon & Mint clay mask is very drying and dry patches appeared around the nose and forehead after using it and I had to moisturize right away. I recommend people with oily to combination skin to give it s dry, they might like it as it would absorb the excess oil off their face. I've used it quite a few times now and did not feel any difference with my pores but love the fact that it didn't break out my skin.
So for the winters, I prefer using the Oatmeal & Avocado clay mask as my skin does not feel tight after using it. It feels soft and I can't stop touching my face. ugh.
You must try it yourself to see the results.

Facial Moisturizing Cleanser Kiwi & Yogurt

About the Product
A silky cream cleanser with non-dairy Yogurt and crisp Kiwi cleans without drying out skin. Perfect for normal to dry skin. It's a super hydrating smoothies for skin.

Massage gently onto damp skin. Rinse with warm water. Use morning and night.
Key Ingredients:
Kiwi Fruit Extract
Yogurt Extract
Aloe Leaf Juice
Ingredient List:
Water/Aqua/Eau, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, Actinidia Chinensis (Kiwi) Fruit Extract, Hydrolyzed Yogurt Protein, Musa Sapientum (Banana) Fruit Extract , Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Extract , Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Extract, Psidium Guajava Fruit Extract , Cymbopogon Schoenanthus Extract, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract , Maranta Arundinacea Root Extract, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Fruit Extract, Santalum Album (Sandalwood) Extract , Macrocystis Pyrifera Extract, Nasturtium Officinale Extract, Aleurites Moluccana Extract, Propylene Glycol, Emulsifying Wax NF, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Carbomer, Sodium Polyacrylate, Sodium Hydroxide, Tetrasodium EDTA , Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Fragrance (Parfum), Blue 1 (CI 42090), Yellow 6 (CI 15985), Benzyl Benzoate, D-Limonene, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde.
I've been using The Body Shop Cucumber Cleansing milk for asvery long time now and it works pretty well for my skin. But I can say that this cleanser is my new favorite. Like I mentioned before I've got dry skin and it gets unbelievably dry during the winters, this cleanser gently removes any impurities off my skin without drying it out. When it comes to removing makeup, it does a good job at removing the makeup off my face except for the eyes.

As you can see from the picture below, it has a creamy and slightly runny consistency. You only need a dime sized amount for your face and the neck.
I am a huge fan of yogurt when it comes to skin products. Yogurt works like magic if you apply it directly to your skin by adding few drops of lemon juice in it or any product that has yogurt in it. And the only reason I tried this cleanser is that it has yogurt and kiwi in it.

Did you know kiwi is loaded with vitamin C, dietary fibers and antioxidants which helps in boosting your skin's health and making the skin youthful and flexible. (hello new best friend).
What I do is I gently massage my skin with the cleanser, use cotton pads to wipe it off. And then wash it with warm water after half an hour.
All in all this cleanser is suitable for all skin types and I highly recommend it to people with dry skin specially during the winters.  Also, it doesn't smell bad.

OOTD | Hello December

Hello everybody, hope you're doing well.
December has finally arrived, which means 30 more days till New Year. Yay yay! I couldn't be any happier.
This year 2014 has been aaahh-mazing. pfft, just kidding. Wish I could say that but this year has not exactly been a fun and exciting year for me. I'm really looking forward to 2015 and really hope that the next year is better *fingers crossed*
So I dressed up today. Yes, that feels like an accomplishment when you spend your days in pajamas and oversized t-shirts. Even though I strongly believe that pajama days are a must in order to have a truly happy life and I really wish I could get a job where I can work from home in my pajamas. Oh well. But today I dressed up 'cause I was celebrating the last month of 2014.
I went out today and got my caffeine fix at Gloria Jeans and wore this sparkly sweater that I got from Breakout last year. It's a comfy over sized sweater.
Did I mention I'm excited for new year? (yeah. stop. now)
I wore a dark brown t-shirt underneath the sweater and paired it with my black pants. I've owned this pair of pants for like 5 years and love wearing it everyday 'cause they're just so comfy.
I added a statement necklace and my new favorite mustache watch. This is my second favorite watch, 'cause nothing can beat the boyfriend watch.
The whole outfit was pretty much neutral colored, so for a pop of color I chose this blue clutch. It's velvet and looks super classy paired with anything.

Always on Instagram and Pinterest. When I get bored, I search food pictures and swoon over it, haha. (Don't judge)

That's it for this post :) what's your must have accessory for Fall?

Winter Tan Lines

Cozy sweaters, hot chocolate, big scarfs around the neck, oh yes, winter is officially here! ❃ (No, it doesn't snow where I live, I just love using this snowflake icon :p )
I get cold very easily and like soaking up the sun for hours. And due to that I have developed terrible tan lines on my arms and feet. I call it the panda-tan, cause half of my feet are darker than the other half, and my hands are darker than the arms. Blekh.
My skin gets very dry during this cold weather and now it's dry and tan. Not a good combination.

I believe that the products available in your kitchen are perfect in de tanning your skin. I've been using the following home remedies lately and I'm happy with the results. So I decided to share these tips with you guys, in case you too want to get rid of an uneven tan (who doesn't, right?)

*I've used these tips and they've worked well for my skin.

-Take 1 tbs of flour, add few drops of lemon juice. Then add milk (enough to make a paste). Apply it to your face and let it dry for 10-15 minutes. Rinse it off with luke warm water with light circular motion. It'll give an instant glow to your skin. Don't forget to moisturize if you've got dry skin.

-Yogurt works like magic in lightening the skin., take yogurt, add few drops of lemon juice, mix it and apply it to your arms and feet. Let it dry for 15-20 minutes then rinse it off. I try to do this twice a week before taking a shower and it works well in lighting the terrible tan. It makes your skin soft as well.

-Take lemon juice, add equal amount of rose water and a pinch of turmeric. Mix it together then apply it to the tanned area.

I've heard egg mask is very effective for removing the tan but I don't think I'll ever try it. I once mixed egg white with my hair oil and applied it to the roots of my hair. My hair felt so soft and shiny but smelled so bad for 2-3 days. So try at your own risk!

Hope you find these helpful.
Are you enjoying the winter so far or do you miss summers already? :D

OOTD | Feeling Fall ❄

Hello out there, hope you're having a wonderful weekend.
For some reason black and white stripes always reminds me of fall and since fall has not officially arrived where I live, I added these leggings into my outfit today to give me those fall-vibes

No matter where you live, you can never have a perfect weather throughout the year. Some days are way too hot and sometimes it just wouldn't stop raining. You can either complain about the weather, or you can add a clothing item or any accessory into your outfit that reminds you of the weather that you want.

For instance wearing a bright colored sweater on a gloomy day or evem listening to a particular kind of music that remind you of a sunny day at the beach. Happiness comes from within, and trust me no girl is unhappy when she's dressed all pretty :)
(wow, these pair of leggings made me so deep! haha)

Now to the outfit-

I love how this top accentuates my waist, it's like an in-built belt. The good thing about black & white stripes is that you can wear any color with it, bold or pastels, you can not go wrong with it.

Diana of London Super Fine Intense Rich Black Liner | Review

Hello fellows, fall is here (almost!) and I am totally digging the winged eyeliner and bold lips look for this season. Oh well, you need no reason for a winged eyeliner, do you? Whatever the occasion, whatever the outfit, winged liner always looks classy. Some people find it really hard to get that perfect winged look ( I feel your pain) but I believe with practice and the right tool, anyone can nail it. I've always been a fan of marker/pen eye liners cause I feel they give me control over the thinness or thickness and the type of look I want to go for. I heard good reviews about Diana of London super intense rich black liner and decided to give it a try.

About the product
Diana Super fine intense rich eyeliner, Long lasting & quick drying. Easy to handle with ultimate control & accuracy. High – tech & innovative ultra fine tip ensures an even and precise application. Dermatologically approved.

Application Tip
For an intense oriental look: Use Diana super fine eyeliner pen, close to the bottom and top lash line.

I'm going to start off by saying I am in love with this liner. Period. From the packaging, it looks like a thin black marker/pen. It has a long tip, which is slightly longer than the tip of liners I have used before. But the tip is soft and makes the application very smooth.

The thin and long tip helps you give the ultimate precision. I believe that pen liners are so much easier to apply than the gel liners and they appear so much neat. It has a rich black color which you can get in one stroke.
I have a bad habit of rubbing my eyes but thanks to its smudge-free formula, I don't end up looking like a panda. It dries within minutes of applying. It stays for a long time on your eyes without fading away.

I've never been a fan of water proof eye liners cause I feel they appear shiny, but this one has a matte finish.
You may find a little hard to remove it, try using any cleansing milk. I use ponds milk cleanser.

All in all, I love its smooth application and rich black color. It lives up to its claims. Either you want to go for a standard winged liner look or the dramatic one, this liner is what you need.

The Good
Easy application
Long lasting
Intense black color

The Bad

I got it for 960rs ($9.5) which is a little pricey for a plain black liner.

Orglow Instant Organic Face Brightening Mask | Review

Happy Eid people! Today I'm going to review the Orglow instant organic face brightening mask.

About the Product
Hand made with love and fresh ingredients. 100% natural.
Best used fresh or uptill 6 months after opening.
Get ready to glow.

What It Claims:
For all skin types

Starting off with the packaging as always, it comes in a white round plastic jar which contains sufficient amount of the product inside. The packaging isn't fancy or anything, but who cares about the packaging, when you've got good stuff inside, right? The mask is in powder form and the instructions on how to use it, are printed on the jar.

Mix 1 leveled tablespoon of Orglow organic mask with one tablespoon of yogurt. Add 2 drops of glycerin (for dry skin) or 2 drops of rose water (for oily skin).
(It doesn't say anything for the combination skin type, maybe one drop of each? Just kidding)

Mix it well, then apply the paste all over your face and neck. Let it dry for 5-10 minutes. Once the mask is dry, rinse off gently with very light circular movements. DO NOT rub off. I rubbed it around my nose when I tried it the first time, and that resulted in redness on that area.

The Orglow organic mask claims to brightens, tightens and whitens the skin.
I don't get facials or skin treatments from the parlor because I've got really sensitive skin. I totally avoid applying any unnecessary chemicals on my face. The reason I wanted this mask so bad was that it's all organic. The first time I tried it, I had my fingers crossed. And I was really happy with the results, it gave an instant glow to the face and my skin felt soft and smooth.

After I washed my face I asked my mom if she sees any difference and she went, 'your face looks clean'. That means mommy approved. Case closed. haha. No seriously, you can see the result instantly, and I love anything that gives me instant results.
Also it's organic, which means you can use this mask 2-3 times a week.
It does not exactly whitens the face, I've been using it for a month and I did not notice any difference. I'm still tan. Thank you Pakistani Summer.

Now let's talk about the only downside to the Orglow organic face mask: it's smell. It has a strong smell and it's not a pleasant one. I've got a sensitive nose and it's really hard for me to stand that smell during that 10 minutes. I guess the strong smell is due to the fact that there are no artificial ingredients used in this mask.
Whatever the reason, if you're getting an instant glow on your face and your skin feels baby soft in just 10 minutes, I don't think the smell can be a deal breaker.

All in all I'm loving this mask. I've been using it before getting ready for any event. Works well for my dry and sensitive skin. Makes my skin soft and gives it an instant brightening look. The smell irritates me a bit but I think I can live with that.
I would totally recommend getting the Orglow brightening mask if you want that beautiful glow.

You can get the Orglow Instant Organic Face Brightening Mask for 850rs (8.5$) from Orglow facebook page here

The Good
Instant glow
Makes skin super soft
100% organic
Quick results
No side effects

The Bad
Smells weird

L'Oreal Paris White Perfect (Day & Night) Cream | Review

Today I'm going to review the L'Oreal Paris White Perfect Day & Night cream. Different skin types requires different products, I've got really sensitive skin and when a product suits my skin type, I stick to it. L'Oreal white perfect cream is one of them. When I first bought the day cream I was least concerned about the 'whitening' part, all I wanted was a cream that would not make my face swell like a bubble fish.

The cream comes in a cardboard box which is more like a FAQ-board. All the information is stated on it including the ingredients. Inside the cardboard, is a quite heavy round jar. The packaging is sturdy and also contains an inner lid, which makes the jar travel friendly.

Day Cream:
You get 50ml cream in the jar. It claims that the texture of the cream is light and non-greasy. In my opinion the texture is creamy but the consistency is quite thick which makes you feel like it's going to be difficult blending it in. But the cream absorbs easily into the skin and it does not make my skin greasy at all. But make sure to apply a little amount of the cream or you'll end up looking like a long-lost-relative of Edward Cullen, and by that I mean it could leave a white cast on the face if applied too much. (you don't want to end up looking like a ghost or a vampire, do you?)
I apply this cream 15-20 minutes before going out, this way it gives time to settle down into the skin. I must say that it provides immediate radiance and glowy effect to the face, which I love. The cream does not feel heavy on the skin at all and works well on the dry patches of my face.
It is a moisturizer and a sunscreen, but it contains only 17SPF. It might be enough for you but I prefer using moisturizers with 30+ SPF. I've been using these creams for more than a year now and I can say that it has noticeably reduced the dark spots and made my skin tone even. Like I said before, I wasn't really concerned with the whitening part so I did not really pay attention to whether it made me 'snow whiter' or not. Also,I used to spend hours in the sun, so I don't think any cream could protect my skin from that much sunlight.

Night Cream:
I agree with what they claim about the texture of the night cream, it is fresh and non greasy. The consistency is gel like and absorbs instantly into the skin. Unlike the day cream, the night cream is bluish in color. I like how they did white-color for the day, and blue for the night. When I apply it onto my face I feel an instant soothing effect, like when you apply a peppermint spray to your feet and they feel light and fresh (yes, I compared my face to my feet, heh).
I've used quite a lot of night creams but this one is the best so far. It feels light on the face and again, you only need a pea sized amount. It's not greasy but a little is enough to cover your entire face.
Both, the day and the night cream, smells sweet but it does not bother me that much cause the smell lasts for about 10 minutes.
I kinda like the night cream better than the day cream, mostly because of the soothing effect that it has on the skin and it feels more lighter than the day cream.

(L) Night cream (R) Day cream

All in all I've used these two creams long enough that I can say it does help in reducing any discoloration on your face. I used to have an uneven skin tone because I wasn't eating enough healthy food (that's what my dermatologist said) after applying this (and force feeding myself vegetables) I could see a visible change in my skin, it got more healthier. I had few pimple marks on my face, it helped in lightening them as well. And as far as the whitening effect is concerned, guess you'll have to use it for yourself to find that out.

Would I repurchase it? Price?
I got both the creams for about 1700rs ($17). Yes, definitely going to use it for as long as I can't find an alternative to this cream.

The Good
Reduces uneven skin tone
Reduces brown spots on the skin
Absrorbs easily
Day cream has a built-in sunscreen
Feels light on the skin
Night cream gives instant soothing effect
Sturdy packaging

The Bad
A tad expensive
Smell might bother you
Day cream could leave a white cast

Fancy Fingers | Knuckle Rings

I have never been a fan of wearing rings. I've got like 4-5 rings in my collection, compared to the gazillion earrings and necklaces. I noticed celebrities wearing midi and above-the-knuckle rings and decided to give this trend a try. Not gonna lie I'm kinda obsessed now, I don't leave the house without my pretty little rings. The best thing is that you can either pile them up on your finger or just wear them separately.

Do you love this trend or are you not so fussed?
Lots of love x
