Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter - 050 Berry Smoothie | Review

Hello lovelies, today I’m going to review the Revlon Color Burst Lip Butter in shade Berry Smoothie. I’m sure you’re all familiar with these lip butters, so there is no need for the introduction. Let’s get into the review then, shall we?

In the sunlight

How to use:

Starting with clean, dry lips apply your favorite shade of Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter onto lips. Revlon Color Burst Lip Butter can be worn with or without Lipliner. Reapply as often as desired for softer, smoother and instantly hydrated lips!

In my opinion:

Berry Smoothie is a dusty rose color with a hint of glitter. When I first saw it, I was pretty disappointed because I don’t like the concept of shimmery lips. But the glitter is not really visible once you apply it. The formula of the lip butter hydrates the lips and is super moisturizing. There’s a reason they’re called lip butters, they glides smoothly on the lips. I’ve got dry lips and I always have to apply a lip balm before applying the lipstick, which sometimes annoys me. But I don’t have to worry about using a lip balm while using these lip butters *10 extra points*
The lip butter gives a sheer to medium pigmentation and is easily buildable. You can either use it as a lip stain or add more color to your lips by swiping it a few times.
This is my go to lip product these days. The fact that it is sheer makes it easy to wear during the day time. And for the night time, I like to pair it with a slightly darker colored lip gloss. But don’t apply too much lip-gloss or you’ll end up having super shiny lips because this lip butter already gives a glossy finish.
I adore the transparent colorful packaging, which is sturdy as well. You can tell the color of the lip butter inside by looking at its packaging. But I’m really disappointed by the staying power of these lip butters. They last for like 2 hours if you don’t eat or drink anything.  And if you do, they disappear instantly leaving a stain. You’ll probably have to reapply it every 2hours.
All in all, I really love these Revlon color burst lip butters. You might not like it if you’re expecting it to be highly pigmented or want to stay it for a longer period of time. But if you’re looking for a product that moisturizes your lips and gives a sheer color, then go and grab it.

Price? Would I repurchase it?
I got it for 950PKR. Yes and will definitely be picking up more shades.

The Good:
Super moisturizing,
Gives sheer to medium coverage,
Easily buildable,
Variety of shades available,
Perfectly wearable for the day and night time.

The Bad:
Not suitable for long wear,
A little pricey (The price is up to 1200PKR at some online pages)

Rating: 4.5/5
